The College of Law at the University of Baghdad announced the launch of the German version of its website, a qualitative step aimed at enhancing academic and cultural communication with universities and research institutions worldwide, and consolidating the College’s status on the international scientific stage.
Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Al-Hilali, Dean of the College of Law – University of Baghdad, affirmed that this initiative represents a significant leap in the College’s academic development journey, saying:
“We are keen to open wider horizons for our students to gain admission to postgraduate studies in German universities and to participate in international moot court competitions. We are also working to enable our college members to publish their research in reputable scientific journals, thereby strengthening the global academic reputation of the mother College.”
It is noteworthy that the number of German speakers worldwide is estimated at about 95 million, while around 175 million people learn or use it as a second or third language. This highlights the importance of this step in reaching a broad segment of academics and researchers.
This move comes as part of the College’s ongoing efforts to diversify the languages available on its website. Previously, it was launched in Arabic, English, and French. The German version now constitutes a new addition that enhances the global reputation of the College of Law – University of Baghdad and aligns with the University’s orientation toward openness to the world and exchange of expertise with leading educational institutions.
